- SONI is a sister’s group under the Noor ul-Islam Masjid banner that services the Barrie and Community area
- It comprises of a group of compassionate sisters that are dedicated to serving Allah by helping women in the community
- Our mission: is to strengthen the bonds of sisterhood in our Muslim community through service, love, and support

Coordinating and assisting in charitable efforts to support those in need.
Supporting New Muslim Families
Helping Muslim families who are new to Barrie by providing guidance, resources, and community support.
Welcoming and Educating New Muslims
Offering educational resources and a supportive environment for those new to the Islamic faith.
Serving the Social and Financial Needs of Sisters
Providing assistance to Muslim sisters in need through financial support, social programs, and community initiatives.
Involvement in the Community
- Since its inception in year 2012 SONI has been actively organizing events to educate and help sisters.
- SONI has organized women’s social events, education programs, provided assistance to those sisters that were in need, interfaith events, kids’ programs, and assisted masjid Noor-ul Islam in various activities such as annual BBQ, winter activities, and Iftars.
- SONI is requesting sisters to actively participate whether it is volunteering, donating, baking, or attending our events.
